We’re beyond excited to announce the debut of Next Wave – Live — a brand new live music series from Chalkpit Cassette Club and Next Wave Cassette Magazine, launching in London this month!
Taking place at the iconic Strongrooms on Wednesday 30th April, this isn’t just a gig—it’s the start of a movement. A regular night that brings the Chalkpit community into the real world to celebrate the freshest new sounds, the art of physical music, and the power of shared experience.
What is Next Wave – Live?
Born from our love of discovery, creativity, and connection, Next Wave – Live takes the spirit of our Next Wave Cassette Magazine and translates it into a live setting—offering a platform for the future sounds of music to play, perform, and grow.
We’re creating a new space where artists and fans can meet in the middle: where unforgettable performances meet limited-edition cassette releases, all captured live and preserved forever.
Live-Recorded + Released on Cassette
Every show will be recorded live, with exclusive audio released both online and on limited edition cassette tapes, made right here at Chalkpit. Fans will also be able to pick up signed cassettes from each artist on the night—only available at the show. For collectors and music lovers, this is a must.
