Dude, My Dude - Brave It Together - EP - Limited Edition Cassette
‘Brave it Together’ is the fruit of collaborative writing between frontmen Benji and Matthieu. Naturally, it is hard to describe the result of two worlds colliding – with genre names like ‘heady garage rock’ or ‘pop-punk-beach-boys’ just scratching at the surface of what DUDE, MY DUDE is really about.
This EP is, ultimately, a pact to stay young forever.
After being front cover artists of Next Wave - Volume One - Chalkpit Cassette Club is proud to be back releasing a limited edition cassette of the bands debut EP.

Between the goofy intro and a bright, hopeful closer lie weaving sections that tackle subject matter from fast food, cider and cartoons, to mortality, love and bracing for nostalgia. The spirit of this is that meaningful moments exist both in the deep and the mundane. There are no rules for DUDE, MY DUDE. An anthem can be about asking your friend to turn their phone off. A soft beachy track can be about taking out your neuroses on friends. And throw a five-years-too-late love song in there too because why the fuck not?
The message is that the future is uncertain and there is no time to waste. Fun fact: the studio in which the EP was recorded was knocked down shortly after the final tracking day. Coincidence? I think not.
